Scope of Work

The scope of work for the Sutton Crossing development included stormwater management analysis and design, base flood elevation determination for the existing lake, access improvements to IL Route 59 and IL Route 72, Phase 1 sanitary sewer and water main improvements, and construction administration.  This project also included the placement of storm drainage from a relatively deep roadside ditch into a contained storm sewer within the south parkway of IL Route 72.

Challenges on this project included maintaining the ecosystem of the existing lake and preparing a complex drainage analysis of the 400± acre tributary area to the south roadside of IL Route 72 with interconnected basins.  Marchris Engineering, Ltd. designed a solution that benefited our client while also improving the drainage conditions of the entire tributary area.  Also, it was imperative that all permits were obtained within an adequate time frame in order to finish construction by the end of 2008  During construction a photo log was prepared to document all construction activity.  The photo log was submitted to our client upon completion.
